Liposuction to reduce the number of fat cells

What is the most popular cosmetic surgery in the world? Liposuction. It is most commonly performed in the United States, followed by Brazil.

Liposuction is a surgery that involves inserting a small tube with a small hole at the end into areas that are not easily treated with diet and exercise, such as the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, sides, and arms, to suck out accumulated unnecessary fat, thereby correcting sagging skin and lumpy fat into smooth lines.

Patients who have undergone liposuction in one area with excellent results also have a high rate of undergoing surgery in other areas. Depending on the individual’s body type and the area that causes complexes, surgery should be performed after sufficient consultation with a medical professional.

  • Yo-yo effect prevention system through aftercare
  • Small scars through micro-incision

Liposuction: procedure Process

Liposuction employs a thin metal tube called a cannula to suction fat cells from areas such as the thighs, abdomen, and upper arms. Suction is generated through the holes in the cannula to remove fat, and by moving the cannula in multiple directions or creating vibrations, the fat is broken down and made easier to suction. This process ensures the fat is removed evenly, resulting in a balanced and natural contour.

At SH Clinic, liposuction is performed using a solution called tumescent that dissolves fat. This method causes minimal damage to surrounding tissues, reducing bruising and swelling, and aids in faster recovery.

Liposuction: Key Information

When losing weight through exercise or dieting, it can be difficult to achieve balanced results. For example, you might want to lose belly fat, but end up losing fat from the face or other areas instead. Additionally, while the size of fat cells decreases, the number of fat cells remains the same, making it easy for the body to return to its original state if weight is regained.
However, liposuction effectively removes fat from specific areas and reduces the number of fat cells, making those areas less affected by future weight changes. As a result, the surgically treated areas can maintain their improved shape even if some weight is regained.

Liposuction: Who We Recommend It For

Body areas such as the abdomen, waist, hips, thighs, and upper arms, which show minimal improvement through diet or exercise, are referred to as localized fat deposition areas.

Unlike other areas where fat is more evenly distributed, these regions tend to accumulate fat in a concentrated manner. Liposuction is necessary to remove fat cells that have built up in these localized areas.

We recommend liposuction to:

  • Individuals who haven’t seen results despite long-term dieting
  • Those who want to quickly sculpt their body or manage their figure
  • People with excess fat in specific areas like the abdomen, arms, or thighs
  • Individuals with noticeable cellulite causing uneven body contours
  • Those who saw little to no effect from a previous liposuction procedure

Liposuction is a surgery that removes the fat cells themselves. Since the number of fat cells generally does not increase after puberty, the effects are permanent if you follow a normal diet and exercise after the surgery.

Liposuction is a safe procedure, but like any other surgery, there may be occasional side effects or complications. When considering surgery, it is important to have sufficient consultation with an experienced medical team and take proper care of your body after surgery.
