What are varicose veins?

Varicose veins are a vascular disease in which blood that should go up to the heart flows back and collects in the legs, causing the blood vessels to become heavy and protrude out of the skin.

What is varicose vein treatment microphlebectomy?

This is an incisional surgical treatment method that was widely performed in the past and involves directly ligating and removing blood vessels with venous reflux.

It is mainly a method of removing branch blood vessels remaining after varicose vein surgery or intravascular laser surgery through a small incision of about 2 mm. This surgery is sometimes performed at the same time as other lower extremity vein surgery, but it leaves a scar of about 2 mm, so it takes 6 months after surgery. The progress of the procedure may be monitored and additional procedures may be performed if branch blood vessels remain.
